Arsenal and England defender Leah Williamson could be out for the remainder of the year after suffering “a significant” hamstring injury in Saturday’s draw with Tottenham.
Williamson, 24, played the entire match but later “experienced discomfort”.
Gunners boss Jonas Eidevall said scans show the injury may “possibly leave her out this whole year” which means she will miss seven games for Arsenal.
She will also miss upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Austria and Latvia.
